Hello! Thank you for viewing our site! The Woodbury House is a unique Historic Mansion that is over 125 years old! There are very few large historic houses left in Los Angeles that are of this age and yet still left unaltered. Each room commands 13 ft high ceilings and dramatic colors as well as over 7 custom built fireplaces. The house also has its very own Music Ballroom! The entire sqaure footage of the property is well over 7000 sq ft (this is including the third floor attic). Each room is different (there's over 14 different rooms) they are either painted with photo friendly colors or have silk wallcoverings or antique wallpapers. The filmmakers enjoy the estate because of the true authentic quality of the workmanship such as the solid wood doubles doors that section off main rooms, thick custom crown moldings, a unique use of rare woods and high ceiling which are excellent for camera lighting. All these positives are what filmmakers love, also the location is ideal due to the large lot in back this is extremely useful for studio trucks and crew parking! Altadena is also film freindly and permitting costs less than Pasadena (sorry Pasadena but very true). Our neighbors are familiar with filming and we require a site manager either hired by us or one hired by Location companies as a third party interest (not hired by film crew directly) If you have any questions please call Sally Elbert at 818-312-1617 or at my office at 818-225-6220 ext 101 Cheers & Happy Prosperous 2010!!!
